Organizational Management: Create own Evaluation paths We often hear on projects or seminars that many customers are unsure about customizing a new evaluation path. Today we’d like to give you a step-by-step instruction how to create customer evaluation paths. For the whole article about creating an Evaluation path do click here. How to transport selection and layout variants Complex variants created for testing in development system you do not need to recreate manually in productive system. Selection variants you can transport as follows: Call up the Reporting service (transaction code SA38) and enter the program. Use the menu path Goto ► Variants and after Utilities ► Transport request and press Execute. In the following picture select the variants you want to transport and confirm with Continue. Now choose your Workbench request. Layout variants can be transported in the following way: First do execute the report and then use the path Settings ► Layout ► Manage. Select the wished layout (attention! only standard layouts possible) and use Layout ► Transport. Now choose your Customizing request. Excluding the access to HR data of managers With the decentralization of HR processes, more and more Users have access to HR-data (e.g. via MDT - Manager's Desktop, TMW - Time Manager's Workplace, MSS - Manager Self Service). No matter whether you control the access to HR-data via the typical fields of P_ORGIN and other authorization objects or via structural authorization: it sometimes very difficult to make sure that nobody can see the salary of his superiors. In a complex environment, most solutions to this problem are either very inefficient (through a high number and/or high complexity of roles) or have some downsides (e.g. a user that should not see his own manager's data, is denied access to all other managers too). The best generic solution to this problem can be reached using the BAdI HRPAD00AUTH_CHECK. There you can check, whether the current user is a subordinate of the person who's data he tries to access. To allow the access of certain "harmless" data, you should establish a new customizing table where all infotypes considered critical can be entered. As a prerequisite of this solution, you need to have the line of command exactly maintained in organizational management.
