1 Tips in SAP® HCM
Cleaning up is never a waste of time: Deleting obsolete data sets in HRP-tables After several years of applying organization management, event management, personnel development etc, the number of objects in HRP* tables is continuously rising. As a consequence, you might experience diminished performance within the context of the structural authorizations. In order to find out how to selectively delete obsolete sets of data with the standard report RHRHDL00, look here. Article from Projektkultur To all authorization administrators: The report RHUSERRELATIONS enabled you to evaluate HR authorization profiles that exist for a user. The latest Support Packages provide a new transaction HRAUTH which makes the report obsolete. In this article you get to know which new functions the HR Authorization Workbench has and why you should add this transaction to your favorites. Article from iProCon Derive roles to simplify your HR authorizations Deriving roles makes sense if multiple users are supposed to have the same user menu with the same authorizations for different areas of responsibility (organizational levels). The organizational level is the employee’s area of responsibility. For whom does the user have authorizations to implement certain functions? The area of responsibility can be the personnel area or an administrator key, for example. How to create organizational level fields and how to use this and other concepts to simplify authorization administration you learn in 'Authorization in SAP ERP HCM'.
2 Abbreviations in SAP® HCM from A - Z
BAdI - Business Add-Ins enable you to implement requirements that exceed the SAP standard without having to modify it. They also enable you to change the standard code at places predefined by SAP and implement customer-specific checks. ('Authorizations in SAP ERP HCM') BI - Business Intelligence was former called SAP Business Information Warehouse. SAP NetWeaver BI - its full description – is implemented in HR Reporting by many organizations. It integrates organizational data of different systems and offers flexible analytical reporting. (for further information see 'HR-Reporting with SAP') BSC - Balanced Scorecard is part of the Strategic Enterprise Management. It can establish a relationship between aggregated key figures from different areas (e.g. personnel, accounting, logistics) and trace those figures back to lower aggregation levels. (for further information see chapter 11 in 'Mastering HR Management with SAP')
