1. Tips in mySAP® HR
Improve usability and quality within your SAP HR application Most organizations that have implemented SAP HR are now looking for ways to improve their SAP-supported HR-processes in terms of usability and quality. In our 04/2006 issue we dealt with process automation and the quality of reporting. In this issue we will conclude the subject with
- Testing procedures and test automation
- Documentation of procedures outside the IT system
- Merging all elements decribed into an Internal Controll System (ICS)
Payroll simulation for the Salary changes made in Basic pay (IT0008) On 0008 there is a button to allow users to directly perform a payroll simulation from the entry screen and display a payslip. This would negate the need to open a separate session and run a payroll simulation, typing in the parameters. The user can then see Basic Pay, Gross Payments and also the net payments all from the same screen. The feature PM004 and a payslip variant should be created/adjusted to allow the switch to function. A HR-only payslip could provide the results in a meaningful format and differ from the payslip sent to the employees. This would also help in query handling. New functionality for e-recruiting 6.0 in Value Package 1 und 2 SAP provides new functionality for e-recruiting via so called value packages. Read here what value package 1 and 2 contain. Error when changing an infoset with infotype 27 after system upgrade When you upgrade your system starting from 4.6C and change an infoset that includes infotype 0027 an error can occur. The function module "RH_TEXT_GET_P0027" does not exist. With 4.7 this function module does not exist in the system any more. But there are references on it in table T770T. The answer of SAP to this problem: Delete all entries of infotype 0027 in table T770T. After it the infoset can be changed again. (Until now there is no note about this.) Always start SAP Query with standard area Starting SAP Query (Transaction Code SQ01) the global work area opens by default. Normally queries are created in the standard area. So every time you start SAP Query you first have to change the work area. To avoid this you only have to add the parameter „AQW“ with value blank in your user profile (System > User Profile > Own Data or Transaction Code SU3).
